Debris Chutes Remove Danger
Immediately

Construction sites, landscape projects, and even trucking require moving or removing large amounts of dangerous materials from one area to another. Whether it is transferring construction debris from the top of a building, removing snow from a stadium, or filling trucks with grain or fertilizer that produce combustible dust, a safe worksite needs a way to make sure that everything finds its way without harming the workers, equipment, or people passing by. The best way to do this is with temporary chutes and slides that direct the debris in a controlled fashion.

Vertical Access has the expertise to plan the appropriate chute for your needs, determine the rigging and hoists to secure the load, and ensure that the chute is strong enough and made of the right material to handle your debris or materials.

Vertical Access Provides
All Kinds of Debris Chutes

Vertical Access supplies, installs, and rents different types of chutes for different construction needs. They include:

Constructions chutes are best used by builders, roofers, scaffolders, demo contractors, supply houses, masons, and renovators.

Construction Chutes

  • 4 ft. (1.2m) tall and 6 different diameters
  • 1 inch tapper – tight fit to minimize airborne dust
  • Light weight, safe, flexible and quiet
  • Equipped with safe, strong cable linking hardware

Concrete chutes are either standard (above water use) or watertight.  They are used for gravity placement of concrete, sand, and gravel.  Their sections are slippery and easy to clean, and every section is supplies with 2 galvanized cable assemblies (10,000 lb fail rating), so there is no suspended load on the plastic tubes.  All the weight is supported by the metal-to-metal linking system.

Standard Concrete Chute – “Tremie”

  • Extremely useful on large form work projects
  • Height of a single section: 4ft. (1.2m).
  • Working length of a single section: 3.3ft. (1m)
  • Diameters offered: 10″ (tapering to 9″), 11″, 12″, and greater
  • Linked sections create a flexible tremie that can be curved

Watertight Concrete Chutes – “Tremies”

  • For underwater concrete placement: flooded shafts, bridgework, piers, bored holes
  • Tremies fit snuggly & quickly together for a watertight fit
  • A single section is 13ft. (4m) max
  • Diameters offered: 4″, 6″, 8″, 10″, 12″, and greater
  • Intended for straight suspension (no bends)
  • Weight of a 13′ x 8″ section: 65 lb. Volume .17 yd3
  • Integrated rigging components cannot be lost.
  • The stainless steel shackle features a unique locking design to prevent loss of the pin while the shackle is open.

Concrete Chutes are also available in offset and sloped versions for placement that is not directly under the source of the cement.

Landscaping chutes are best for moving sand, earth, and large debris when working with beaches, natural disasters, or excavations.

Landscaping Chutes

  • The system is modular: sections can be easily removed, added, or changed out.
  • Sections link together quickly using wire rope assemblies.
  • Sections are made by a CNC robot, so they are perfectly conical for longer life.
  • Sections can be drilled with 4 positions for the wire rope assemblies. This design feature allows the user to turn a section four times, in 90° increments, in order to obtain a longer working life.

Snow chutes are useful in removing large amounts of snow from public and private buildings and structures.

Stadium Snow Chutes

  • Custom designed aluminum support frame suspends a canvas chute.
  • Lightweight & easy to move around the stadium
  • Built specifically to connect to stadium riser step

Mega Snow Chutes for Parking Decks

  • 72″ diameter scaffold mounted snow chute
  • Used to clear snow from level 3 of a parking garage
  • 90″ diameter snow chute, with an 8ft. x 6ft. (2.4m x 1.8m) funnel
  • Suspended from a pair of davits with built-in roof-mounted winches
  • Once installed, the masts and winches are protected by an 8ft (2.4m) tall plastic enclosure.

Sluice Fed Snow Chute for Smaller Parking Decks

  • Installed on the deck
  • Used to feed a smaller diameter chute
  • Avoids the need for a heavier chute
  • Can be removed between snow clearing operations

Plastic Snow Slides

  • Move snow quickly down staircases, or to roof edges
  • Polyethylene rectangular slides remove snow from stairwells, roofs, and stadiums
  • Superb ease-of-use and durability provide a quick and safe solution
  • Available in lengths up to 12ft. (3.6m)
  • Available in widths up to 5ft. (1.5m)

Snow Chutes for Clearing Roofs Manually

  • Rapid snow removal from smaller roofs
  • Lightweight nylon chute (8 oz)
  • Chute custom built to your length & diameter requirement
  • Much lighter, so a smaller capacity chute support frame can be used
  • Less bulky to store and transport
  • Superb ease-of-use and durability provide a quick, clean and safe solution

Round slides are a great tool for placement of gravel, moving concrete, and sand. Strong and light-weight, the slides store flat for easy shipping and storage:

  • Strong and light
  • Custom lengths available
  • Stores flat
  • Made of non-stick plastic
  • Withstands extreme temperatures
  • Easily stored & transported as flat   panels
  • Innovative linking system
  • Compact storage
  • Clips together in seconds
  • Custom shapes available (for turning corners etc.)
  • Linking system allows   connection of any number of slides

Rectangular slides are a great tool for snow removal operations in stairwells, grandstands, and stadiums. Excellent for moving other materials and objects as well. Superb ease-of-use and durability provide a quick & safe solution. The built-in wire rope linking system allows connection of any number of slides.

  • Only 3 panels: Base, Left Wall, Right Wall
  • No loose hardware whatsoever
  • Quick assembly
  • Can withstand extreme temperatures
  • Innovative linking system
  • Easily stored & transported as flat panels
  • Custom lengths available up to 12ft. (3.6m)
  • Custom shapes available (for turning corners etc.)
  • Compact storage
  • 10 carry handles per slide

Nesting chutes are useful for deploying flowable materials. As the mound rises, the nesting chute is retracted with help of winches. Loading ships and barges, filling storehouses, loading trucks, raising the chute frequently to clear an obstacle. Nesting chutes are best used for.
