Personal Fall Arrest Systems Save Lives

Personal fall arrest systems typically consist of some form of anchorage, connectors, and a body belt or harness to attach the worker to the structure he or she is working on. The personal fall arrest system many also include a deceleration device, lifeline, or a suitable combination to stop a fall if it happens.

Whatever the safety application need, an OSHA compliant solution can be found within the Kee Safety categories of personal fall protection products.

The KeeLine® horizontal life line is a horizontal safety line providing continuous protection for work-at-height. It can accommodate up to three users, either mounted directly onto a roof surface or onto the building structure.

The Kee Walk® is a modular walkway system designed to the requirements of EN 516:2006. Easy to install, it provides a safe, anti-slip, level surface for those who needs to access a roof in the course of their work. The system is appropriate for flat and sloping roofs.

The Kee® Anchor is a modular dead weight anchor that is used with workers wearing personal protection equipment. The Kee® Anchor is mobile, allowing safe freedom-of-movement around the roof space in a temporary location.

Collective Fall Protection Prevents Accidental Falls Above the Ground

Per OSHA FALL PROTECTION regulations, “Employers are required to assess the workplace to determine if the walking/working surfaces on which employees are to work have the strength and structural integrity to safely support workers.”

Collective fall protection is an excellent precautionary measure to prevent accidents at high altitudes. Blocking devices mitigate accidental falls from dangerous elevations, access points, leading edges, roofs, buildings, walkways, or other potentially hazardous locations.

Fall protection in all workplaces and traffic routes is needed higher than 1m (3.2ft.) above the ground, so it applies to hatches, skylights, and openings of any kind.

The KeyGuard® free standing roof edge system is a modular railing that does not penetrate the roof membrane, so there is no damage or inspections required. It keeps workers away from the edge, but requires no training. The KeyGuard® system is fully tested and meets or exceeds current safety requirements.

The KeeGuard® Contractor is a free standing portable railing system that doesn’t penetrate the rooftop or working surface. This system is extremely durable because the guardrail components are galvanized, and the bases are Recycled PVC, so they are long-lived and don’t rust. It is easy to assemble and 100 ft. (30m) of KeeGuard® Contractor safety rail can be installed by two people in an hour.

KeeGuard® skylight screens protect workers, because OSHA considers skylights to be holes in the roof. KeeGuard® skylight screens are for curb style, standing seam, and rib/corrugated metal roof skylights. Despite their strength and ability to break a fall, the screen won’t break the glass on the skylight.

The Kee Dome™ skylight guard is a collective, free-standing, fall-protection solution for use around skylights, roof lights and dome lights up to 6.5ft. x 6.5ft. (2m x 2m) in size. The modular system allows contractors and maintenance crews to access rooftops and to work safely without the risk of falling through glazed areas. Although designed as a permanent solution, the new Kee Dome™ system is fully modular, so it can also be taken down, moved and re-erected as required.

The KeeHatch® is a safety railing system designed for safe egress/ingress through roof access hatches, and protection while the hatch is open. KeeHatch® meets and/or exceeds current safety requirements and standards.
